Within our Del Papa Family Olive Oils, there are different variations you will see in your local store, most commonly Extra Virgin Olive Oil ( Bold Taste ), Pure Olive Oil ( Mild Taste ), Extra Light Olive Oil ( Light Taste ) & Pomace Olive Oil ( Umbria Verde ).
# One of the most noticeable differences amongst our different varieties is in the taste of the Del Papa Family Oil itself #
Within the Mediterranean diet, Olive Oil is used to prepare almost any dish. It is the king of condiments for every kind of pasta and sauce. It helps by exalting the taste of foods in every kind of cooking. Contrarily to popular belief, it is absolutely suitable for frying, as it has a “high smoking point”, higher than seed oils, practically being able to withstand its structure before burning and altering. But above all, it is best consumed “raw”, to accompany foods such as salads or cooked vegetables, on meat and fish. Olive Oil complements and integrates every dish without making it too heavy.
It is advisable to consume olive oil on a daily basis, as a snack, or aperitifs, or simply spreading it on bread, according to the most ancient tradition.
FYI: “Annual per capita consumption of Olive Oil in Italy in 2009 was 12.35 liters per person, in Spain it was 13.62 and in Greece a whopping 23.7 liters for every Greek”.
